Jeff Curran brings his diverse background as a successful business owner and entrepreneur, youth athletics coach and collegiate athlete to RedLine Athletics where he serves as the Regional Developer for Oregon and Southwest Washington as well as franchise owner of the first RedLine Training Center in the Northwest. After nearly 30 years as a successful engineering and land development consultant, Jeff decided to pair his passion for youth athletics with his business acumen and open a RedLine franchise in 2018. He graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering while also competing on both the rowing and track teams. Jeff has spent many years coaching youth sports from youth volleyball to high school Varsity track, and has served on numerous youth athletic boards.
Coach Hayes began his coaching career 21 years ago for high school athletic programs such as Central Catholic, Lakeridge and Clackamas High Schools; and has spent the past 18 years specializing in Speed, Agility and Quickness (SAQ) training for youth athletes. With the growing competitive environment of high school athletics and talent no longer guaranteeing a spot on any roster, Coach Hayes formed the Off-Season Training Academy in 2005. He has spent the last 12 years as a Performance Trainer specializing in youth and high school athletes. More than 40 of his athletes have gone on to play at the D1 level in sports such as football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, lacrosse, and soccer.
Growing up in Tampa, Flordia, Devin Giles developed into an outstanding athlete and excelled in both football and track. He continued his athletic career at Washington State University and earned all-conference honors as both a defenseive back on the Cougar football team and a sprinter on the track team. His experience as an athlete, and the success he experienced from commitment and hard work, has instilled a passion for training young athletes and helping them achive their goals. Devin’s blend of intensity and humor had endeared him to our athletes.
Landon was a standout football player and track athlete who received multiple Division 1 college offers before suffering a career ending injury. He has now redirected his passion for athletics to helping youth pursue their athletic goals and dreams. Throughout his time as an athlete, Landon trained with a multitude of elite trainers, coaches and specialists from whom he has learned many valuable coaching and training tips and methods. Landon is one Redlines most versatile trainers with a particular passion for developing speed and agility in our young athletes. Behind his ever present smile is a fierce competitor and extremely hard worker who knows how to instill those traits in the young athletes he trains.
Coach “Paka” was a multi-sport standout athlete competing in baseball and track (long jump, triple jump, and high jump). Lopaka coached all jumping events at Kapaa High School and Island School in the state of Hawaii as well as playing and coaching competitive tournament level baseball winning multiple tournaments as a player, as well as a coach. Coach Lopaka also recently coached varsity Scappoose Indians Softball program, leading them to a league champions title.
Coach Bryce possesses terrific energy and high intensity throughout his basketball career through the collegiate ranks. Bryce has further trained with current and former NBA players including Tracy Murray, Nick Young and Gilbert Arenas. Bryce’s goal as a trainer is to refine athlete’s athletics prowess, skills and overall game IQ. Bryce brings both a high level of training and consistent excitement to the athletes every day they are training.
Coach Strothers began coaching over 38 years ago taking the St. Mary’s Academy Blues to three state basketball championship titles in the 80’s. After coaching at the college level for seven years (USC, Cal State Northridge and Champan University), he returned to high school athletics for six years and was named CIF-Southern Section Division IV Coach of the Year while coaching women’s basketball in Oak Park, California. After moving back to Oregon, he spent four years coaching the women’s basketball team at Westview High School in Beaverton where they reached the state tournament for three seasons and took 2nd place in 2012. Coach Strothers is currently a lecturer for Positive Coaching Alliance and a basketball skills trainer.
