Sport specific and strength & conditioning specialist with over 10 years of coaching experience. Excelled as a multi-sport athlete in football, track, powerlifting, and soccer. Post H.S. served in the United States Marine Corps. Played football while in the Marines making the All-Marine Team as a linebacker. After serving; attended Texas State University earning a Bachelors in Exercise Sports Science and a Masters in ESS Strength & Conditioning. While earning a master’s, served as an assistant Strength & Conditioning coach for football at Texas State University for the 2019/2020 season. Extremely excited to help athletes reach their highest potential and increase opportunities to play at the next level!
Justin was born and raised in Fort Bend county and participated in many youth sports growing up (Stafford Cobras, Stafford Youth Basketball Association, StaMo Pony Baseball). He was a 3yr varsity basketball player at Stafford High School (2010 State team member), a 2-time 1st team All District selection, was on the 2011-12 3A All Region team, and a 2012 Team MVP. He graduated and went to Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa on a basketball scholarship from 2012-14. He then transferred to Texas State and graduated with an Exercise Sports Science degree with a concentration in Health Management in May of 2018.
Ruby was a multi-sport athlete her entire life. She is working on her degree in Early Childhood Development Studies. She has experience as a swim and youth sports instructor, and currently directs our Intro to Sports program. She absolutely loves working with kids and youth athlete and building relationships with every family that walks through the door!
Shannon was a 3-sport athlete at Barbers Hill High School – starting all 4 years in basketball, and received collegiate offers in both basketball and softball. She was awarded multiple tournament MVP selections, district
defensive MVP honors, and was a member of the 2011-2012 State finals basketball team. She then went on a full scholarship to play basketball at Faulkner University in Montgomery, AL – where she was awarded
Freshman of the Year in the SSAC, but then ended up needing 4 ACL reconstruction surgeries that ended her basketball career. She graduated with a degree in Sports Management, and has since been the Director
of Operations for a real estate investment firm, started coaching high school girls’ basketball, as well as trains basketball athletes up to the collegiate level. Shannon is blessed to be able to pair her love of sports with her love of leadership and looks forward to developing great athletes!
DD is a Texan through and through; born in San Antonio to a family with a heritage stretching back to the Alamo, he graduated from Alice HS in Alice, TX, with All State accolades in swimming and baseball. He attended Concordia University in Austin and UTSA, where he was a starting pitcher. After shoulder surgery, he made a comeback, pitching professionally in the Pecos League. He enjoys carpentry, writing poetry and short fiction, but his passion is in his love for the game of baseball.
