Born in Miami and raised in New York, I’ve made stops everywhere in between. As a high schooler in New York, I played basketball, soccer, football, baseball and tennis. In college, I played basketball and soccer for a small DII in North Carolina. While there, I pursued degrees in history and art, as well as a teaching license. After graduation, I quickly found my love of training athletes.
After some time as a fitness director for the YMCA of Western North Carolina, I left to help build up and manage a sports performance training center in Asheville, North Carolina. For close to 10 years, I trained athletes from all over the southeast, blending concise programming, advanced technology, and physical therapy. My clients ranged from age 10 up and included future MLB, NFL, and NBA athletes, and Olympians in several disciplines. I went on to manage facilities in Savannah, GA, and Hilton Head, SC. In my most recent position, I helped start a $60 million sports complex in West Virginia that has reshaped the athletic landscape in the region.
In the rare event I’m not working, I enjoy participating in adult rec leagues, reading books at breweries, and petting all the dogs. I look forward to bringing my knowledge and experience to Charleston and having a hand in developing the next generation of athletes in the area.
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago and grew up playing almost every sport imaginable. I eventually narrowed it down to baseball and football in high school and accepted an invitation to walk-on to the Southern Illinois University football team. I transferred to Northern Illinois University and earned my BA in Corporate Communications.
After college, I began a career in recreational sports management in the Chicagoland area. On a business trip to California, I met my wife Shannon, who convinced me to move to LA where I pursued a profession in gym facility management and fitness coaching/personal training.
Shannon and I relocated to Mt. Pleasant in July 2022 to be closer to family and embrace the southern charm of Charleston. During my free time, I enjoy cooking (especially smoking meat), visiting national parks and nature areas and relaxing on the beach with Shannon and our daughter, Charlotte.
I am thrilled to be working with our athletes and helping them reach their full sports performance potential!
Originally from Dallas, I decided to make the move to South Carolina to establish roots and experience life outside of Texas. I am currently getting my Masters in Exercise Physiology and have my own online coaching business. I graduated from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Exercise Science.
With my passion of going to Physical Therapy school and hopes of one day being a physical therapist, I found myself missing the intense, fast paced, fun atmosphere that comes with training for sport. When I was younger, I had the privilege to be involved in a multitude of sports: Baseball, soccer, basketball, cross country, track, and volleyball. Once I got to high school I specialized in track and volleyball where I ran hurdles and relays. After graduating high school I signed a letter of intent to West Texas A&M University where I finished my track career.
Sports have always been a big part of who I am. Outside of lifting, programming for clients, and studying for school, I love to bake and spend as much time outside as possible. I will always be happy to take requests for cookies!
I look forward to being a part of the youth athletics in this community and working with all of the kids in Mount Pleasant!
