This location is located on Morrissette Drive directly off of Rolling Road, in between Old Keene Mill Road and Braddock Road. The 11,000 square foot facility includes three 70 ft. batting cages, 2 soccer goals, volleyball nets, a basketball hoop and court area, plus a large open space. Weight room has brand new equipment including vertimax, squat/bench racks, rogue rower, slide board, dumbbells, kettlebells, and cable machine. Customized training can be developed for nearly every sport.
EVENT - Wednesdays Softball Hitting Clinic
The winter hitting clinic is designed to give the student athlete an opportunity to work on their hitting skills throughout the winter. The hitting program will give each athlete the opportunity to work on both the hitting fundamentals and the mental approach to hitting. The program is set up for each athlete to work on Hitting/Bunting/Slapping as well as other aspects of hitting throughout the winter in which players will be receiving lots of repetitions throughout the course of the program. This hitting clinic allows the player to be better prepared for the upcoming high school softball season. The instructors will include Coach George Rumore, Coach Jay Newman, and Coach Hector Collazo. This clinic will take place Wednesday nights from 7:30pm - 9:30pm and will include eight training sessions with a 4:1 or less ratio for instructors to students. The price for this clinic in only $325. This price will include an unlimited 2-month HIIT membership at Redline Athletics from December 7, 2016 - February 8, 2017.

EVENT - Holiday Break Camp
Campers will play two different sports each day, while working on core strength & sport specific foundations & skills. Sports may include: Baseball, Basketball, Football, Lacrosse, Soccer, Lacrosse, Parkour, and Volleyball.

Baseball and Softball Specialist: Jordan Moak
Jordan attended University High School in Southern California where he was a two sport athlete. From 2005-2011, he was a client at the original RedLine Athletics located in San Juan Capistrano. Choosing to pursue his baseball career, he attended Vanguard University of Southern California where he helped lead his team to the 2015 NAIA World Series as a starting pitcher. Jordan holds a degree in Kinesiology: Exercise Science and has experience with training athletes of all ages, from little leaguers to professional athletes. He is our Baseball/Softball specialist here at RedLine Springfield.
Soccer Specialist: Lindsey Ottavio
Lindsey Ottavio is RedLine Springfield's team leader and Assistant General Manager. Lindsey returned to the United States after playing forward on Durham University’s undefeated Women’s Soccer Team. The team achieved their first BUCS National Championship in program history. While abroad, Lindsey earned her Masters Degree in Education with Distinction from Durham University. Prior to England, Lindsey has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from Longwood University. While attending Longwood, she was a standout player throughout her four years as a member of the Division I, Women’s Soccer Program. Lindsey was a two-year team captain, tied the single season scoring record with 16 goals and placed third in career goals. Her career highlights include ranking among national leaders in goals and points in Division I, VaSID University All-State First-Team, the first athlete from Longwood to achieve the Big South Player of the Week Honors and ESPN Academic All-District 3 First-Team. She started 70 of 75 career matches. In addition, Lindsey holds a U.S. Soccer National E and F Coaching Licenses and has experience working with individuals, small groups, and teams of all ages and levels. A native to Northern Virginia, Lindsey attended W.T. Woodson High School and earned top honors in the DC Metropolitan, earning First-Team All-State and First Team All-Met honors.
Baseball Hitting Instructor: Calvin Baxter
Calvin Baxter is RedLine Springfield's newest baseball hitting coach. Calvin was hand-picked by the great hitting coach, Chuck Hoyle, to continue his proven style of hitting instruction when Chuck retired in June of 2016. Calvin has given private lessons and clinics with Chuck Hoyle for over six years. He has worked with players from Little League through the collegiate level to improve performance. When working under former professional player Will Rhymes during the fall and winter of 2010, Calvin focused on hitting mechanics and developing consistently powerful swings. Will Rhymes has played for the Tigers and the Nationals and currently serves as a scout for the LA Dodgers. Calvin has also given lessons to Ian Rice, who was selected by the Cubs organization in 2015. Currently Rice leads his single A league in slugging percentage and OPS and is currently second in his league with 9 homeruns in only 124 at-bats. A native of northern Virginia, Calvin attended Flint Hill School in Oakton and has recently graduated from Gettysburg College.
Football and Track and Field Specialst: Enaka Beteck
Enaka was born in Cameroon, Africa where he grew up playing soccer. At the age of 8, he moved to the USA and started playing football. Enaka played football in the Salvation Army League in Salisbury, MD before going to play in high school. Beteck played both football and ran track in high school. In football, he played running back and ran sprinting events in track and field. He went on to become a 2-year varsity captain for football and was honorable mentioned as a running back for the Bayside Conference. In track and field, Enaka made it to the state finals in the 55-meter dash (indoor), 4x2 relay (indoor), 100-meter dash (outdoor), 4x1 relay (outdoor), and 4x2 relay (outdoor). After high school, Enaka went on to play football for Salisbury University and Semi-Pro football in Salisbury, Delaware, and Baltimore. In 2013, he was a participant of the NFL Regional Combine in Baltimore and the Euro Stopwatch Combine. In 2014, he attended the first ever National Rugby Football League Combine. As a semi-pro football player he caught interest by the Pittsburgh Steelers, the CFL, and Arena Football. In 2014, Enaka graduated with a B.A. in Sports and Recreation Management.
Baseball Specialist: Patrick “Mo” Moriarty
Mo Moriarty attended Potomac Senior High School in Dumfries, Virginia where he was a three-sport athlete in baseball, hockey, and golf. Mo was a four-year varsity letter at Potomac making All-District and All-Met teams throughout his career. His senior year was quoted to be the “Most dangerous homerun hitter in the Northwest region” with having four grand slams on the season. Upon graduating he attended Division I Mount Saint Mary’s University in Maryland. Mo was used as a two-way player (Pitcher and Position Player) while at the Mount because of his versatility. His junior year he was named to Second Team All Northeastern Conference as a Utility Player. Mo was noted as a top hitter in NEC play with a .312 Avg his junior year. Once graduating he was announced as one of the assistant coaches at Mount Saint Mary’s. Where he served as the assistant hitting coach and head catching coach for the team. He also worked along side the strength and conditioning coach to train the players. After serving two years at The Mount as a coach he seized an opportunity to continue his playing career professionally. Mo has played in several different professional leagues ranging from the Ozark and Heartland leagues in Missouri. Moving to the Black Sox in 2015 and 2016 where he competed against the Miami Marlins and Philadelphia Phillies minor league teams in Spring Training, posting a .333 average against them. He was later signed to the Watertown Bucks in the Empire league in Watertown, NY. Mo was signed upon completion of the season to the Vallejo Admirals in California. There he helped make a play off push in the final month serving as a super-utility player for catching and closing pitcher. There he posted a .300 batting average and 1.93 ERA, where he holds the option to play again in 2017. While traveling the nation playing baseball Mo was also able to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Masters of Business Administration from Mount Saint Mary’s University.
Football Specialist - Private Lessons: CHRIS WARREN
Chris warren is most known for his 11 years in the NFL, but his experience dates back to high school where he began his career as a high school standout at Robinson Secondary School. He played collegiately for both the University of Virginia and Division III Ferrum College. Chris was selected in the fourth round of the NFL draft by the Seattle Seahawks and served many years as a running back.Gifted with blazing breakaway speed he would go on to have a tremendous NFL career for the Seahawks, Cowboys, and Eagles. Chris played with the Seahawks from 1990-1997, Dallas Cowboys 1998-2000, and the Philadelphia Eagles in 2000. By the end of his stint in Seattle (1997), he was (at the time) the Seahawks' career rushing leader, recording 6,706 total rushing yards for the franchise. For his accomplishments, Chris was also named to the Pro-Bowl 3 times during his career. He now coaches high school football in Alexandria, Virginia.
Football Specialist: Jake Payne
Position: Defensive Line, Linebackers, & Offensive Line. Jake Payne began his career at Battlefield High school where he won a state championship in 2010, and his senior year, in 2011, was selected All-State and All-Met Offensive Line while also playing multiple positions on defense. He played collegiate at Shenandoah University where he was a three time all-conference selection, and was selected as the 2015 ODAC Conference Defensive Player of the Year his senior season after leading the league in sacks and tackles for loss with 7, and 14, respectively. He finished his career at Shenandoah with 199 tackles, 17 sacks, 33 tackles for loss, and 9 pass breakups. Throughout college he spent time training with Pass Rush specialist Chuck Smith, and combine trainer/ pass rush specialist Taylor Scott, who he did his combine training with in the beginning months of 2016. Jake was invited by the New York Jets and the Philadelphia Eagles to compete in their Rookie Mini Camps as an Outside Linebacker and a Defensive End during the summer of 2016. He is currently a free agent and continues his training with aspirations of continuing his career.
Basketball Specialist: Jeylani Dublin
Jeylani played four years of basketball as a Division 1 athlete at Longwood University in Farmville VA. He was team captain and earned many accolades as a top scholar in the Big South Conference. After attending Longwood, Jeylani attended Iona College and was a Division 1 athlete on the Iona Basketball team and appeared in the NIT tournament. He is currently attending Shenandoah University's Division of Physical Therapy with hopes to pursue a specialty in strength and conditioning.
Basketball Specialist: Chineze Nwagbo
Chineze Nwagbo started her basketball career at Duval Senior High School in Lanham, Maryland where she is recognized as a 4 yr. varsity letter recipient, and two-time team captain. Her honors include: 2 back-to-back State Championship Titles, All-American Honorable Mention, All County First Team, amongst a myriad of other accomplishments. She is a former Syracuse University student-athlete, who earned her Business of Science degree in Biology. Shortly after graduating from Syracuse, Chinny went on to play as a professional basketball player for 11 years. She has played in various countries such as Spain, Chile, Brazil, Poland, Portugal, Israel, where she afforded 4 MVP Titles, and also appeared in the World Championship Games in 2006, representing her parent’s native country Nigeria. Most recently, Chinny has ventured to new horizons working for the NBA, in China, developing grassroots implementation of NBA based basketball curriculum in various areas of Jr. NBA programs. In her spare time, she frequents New Channel 8’s Sportstalk show as a guest sports analyst. As a coach and trainer Chineze has instructed a spectrum of phenomenal athletes ranging from beginner athlete’s to high level professional athletes. Her specialty is sports specific to Basketball but not limited to only basketball, with a capacity to train all sports!
Head Coach George Rumore
Coach Rumore has over thirty years of experience coaching both girls softball and boys baseball in the Northern Virginia area. Coach Rumore will be starting his 10th season as the Varsity Softball Coach at Lake Braddock High School. Prior to Lake Braddock High School, Coach Rumore was the Varsity Softball Coach at both McLean High School and Wakefield High School. Coach Rumore spent three years at Bishop O'Connell High School as the Junior Varsity Baseball Coach. Coach Rumore has coached travel softball teams over the past seventeen years for such teams as the Vienna Stars, BRYC, and the Northern Virginia Patriots, in which he established the organization and coached for nine years. Before becoming a softball coach, Coach Rumore coached in the Clark C. Griffith Collegiate Baseball League for 7 years, American Legion Baseball for 3 years and coached in the Northern Virginia Fall Baseball League for 13 years. Over the years, Coach Rumore has been fortunate enough to have coached numerous players who have gone on to play college softball, college baseball and professional baseball. Coach Rumore has conducted this winter training program for 6 years prior to coming to Redline Athletics.
Hector Collazo is currently an assistant coach at Lake Braddock Secondary School in Fairfax, VA. He has worked with Head Coach, George Rumore, since 2008 when he began his position at the school. Throughout his experience at Lake Braddock, Hector has coached the Bruins to 3 straight Patriot District Championships (2013-15), the Grand Strand Myrtle Beach Tournament victory in 2011, and the Virginia State High School Semifinals in 2013. He has also coached 4 players to the First Team All-State team since 2013, as well as the USA Today/Gatorade 2014 Virginia Softball Player of the Year. Also, since 2008, there have been 20+ Lake Braddock Bruins continue on and play college level softball with full/partial scholarships. In addition, Hector has worked at the Virginia Baseball Club (VBC) as a softball instructor since 2010 and has volunteered with Woodbridge Little League/Dale City Little League since 2012.
Coach Jay Newman
Coach Newman has almost 10 years of coaching experience with youth and adolescent sports programs. Coach Newman began his coaching career with the Springfield Youth Club football program. He taught football fundamentals and basic sportsmanship skills at the 130 lb age group as well as the 155 lb age group. Following football coaching, he turned his attention to Select Travel Softball where he served as assistant coach with the Braddock Road Youth Club teams. He worked with the 12U, 14U, and 16U stingrays fast pitch softball teams continuing to stress fundamentals as well as sportsmanship and personal development in a team environment. He then moved to assist with the 18U Centreville Xplosion Softball team in the Southwestern Youth Association organization. Coach Newman currently holds the position of Assistant Varsity Softball Coach at Lake Braddock Secondary School. Under the tutelage of Head Coach George Rumore, he continues to polish and develop his softball coaching skills at the Varsity level.
