Redline Denver East is the home of a locally grown girls club basketball team known at THE BUREAU. Like all of our programs, THE BUREAU is a development program for players looking to increase their skills and IQ for play at the next level. We will be holding tryouts in March, and throughout the year. If you cannot make tryouts, please email denvereast@redlineathletics.
Calling all girls looking to learn, grow and excel at the game of basketball. THE BUREAU was founded in 2019 by Mike Haynes and Aaron Bradford as a place for players to develop their skills, and their passion for the game of basketball. Our Program features teams at all skill levels:
Developmental — Girls that are looking to make the leap from recreational to competitive basketball but are also looking to build fundamental confidence in their skills as a player. These teams play against other local programs with girls looking to grow into competitive players.
Competitive — Girls that have built solid skills and their confidence has arrived at a place where they want to start competing against the best girls in the Denver Metro Area. These teams play in competitive tournaments on grade or higher.
Select — Select players are the best in the state, or are seeking to establish themselves as such. Our select teams have won the AAU World Championship, the Gold Crown Elite and Gold Divisions and often play up several grades to ready them for high school and college play.
Tryouts are a good opportunity to come and have fun, meet the coaches, learn more about the REDLINE difference and make a decision about how to spend the Spring and Summer.

Redline Denver East and THE BUREAU are collaborating to field SELECT Teams on the Puma NxtPRO Circuit and the HOOP GROUP circuit in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Founder Mike Haynes has hand selected four events that will provide meaningful exposure for college bound basketball players seeking a college look.
NCAA Live Period is a time when NCAA coaches are permitted to scout high school players directly. NCAA Live is the weekend of May 17, July 10 and July 19. We have selected competitive tournaments that will provide our players a real opportunity to be seen and recruited.
Joining a BUREAU Select Team is not about travel, it is about preparing completely for the next level. Our teams will play locally and train at Redline, doing both skill development as well as sports performance for next level power and explosiveness. Teams will practice at least 2x a week to get ready for May and July travel.
We will be fielding teams at:
17U/Unsigned Seniors — This team is reserved for seniors looking to get an offer to play next year.
16U Recruit Ready Teams — These teams feature Juniors and Sophomores that are now ready to be scouted.
15U Prospects — These teams feature players that are still developing high level competitive skills.
If you cannot make tryouts, please email denvereast@redlineathletics.

THE BUREAU is a basketball program located in North East Denver dedicated to developing competitive basketball players. THE BUREAU fields developmental, competitive and select teams from 2nd grade to high school. Teams practice twice a week at Redline Denver East. Each practice consists of the following
60 minutes of Sports Performance : Redline Signature Sports Performance Training with our Sports Performance Specialists. We start each season with a performance evaluation that looks at various attributes of speed, endurance and agility. The teams then run through three months of speed, agility, power and explosiveness training designed to build a better athlete.
90 minutes of Basketball: Following the sports performance, the players join their coach on the court to work on skills and team concepts. Every player is trained on the fundamental of ball handling, shooting, finishing, passing, ball exchanges, defensive footwork, rebounding, three pointers, free throws and defensive IQ. Our teams are trained on team concepts on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Our goal is to educate and train our players to compete for slots on their top middle school and high school teams when the time comes. We develop competitive players — a task that takes years to achieve. No matter where you are — we will help get you to the next level of performance.
In our view, there are three types of players in Colorado:
Developmental — Boys that are looking to make the leap from recreational to competitive basketball but are also looking to build fundamental confidence in their skills as a player. These teams play against other local programs with boys looking to grow into competitive players.
Competitive — Boys that have built solid skills and confidence are placed on competitive squads and placed in tournaments to start competing against the best boys in the Denver Metro Area. These teams play in competitive tournaments on grade.
Select — Select players are the best in the state, or are seeking to establish themselves as such. Our Select players will play in local and national tournaments designed to help the players ready themselves for varsity high school and college play.
We assess players on a daily basis and place them with teams in the above categories. Please join us for tryouts in March, or set up an assessment by emailing denvereast@redlineathletics.
If you cannot make tryouts, please reach out to Redline and set up an assessment in February — denvereast@redlineathletics.
